Idea to add channel notifications for new stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in Twenty * themes and GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. - There will likely be some new strings included with this release.
Feedback/Help Wanted
- For the feedback discussion tool, screenshots of the workflow for rejecting a string with feedback were shared last week.
- @nekojonez shared that the nl_NL and nl_BE teams have already discussed using this tool in their workflow to help explain why a translation is being rejected, or prevent certain incorrect translations.

For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress. team about setting this up.
- We discussed potentially creating a new channel for alerts, so they don’t get lost in conversation. If the volume is too high with these new projects, we might want to revisit the idea of making a new channel for these.
Updates
- The upcoming release for WPGP Tools will help to find “duplicate” entries in projects on translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins.. (More context on this update.)
- @vladytimy also shared GlotDict minor release was shipped last week with some new UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing. adjustments for the new design elements on translate.wordpress.org.
