You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Please, the PW virtual card, in Portuguese, has printed “Cartão do presente”. But, it doesn’t make sense in Brazilian Portuguese. Could some one turn it for “Cartão presente”??

The translation you’re using is the one that was distributed inside the plugin itself by the plugin developer.
But I have good news for you: Since WordPress v 4.6 the translation from WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ takes precedence, if there is one. And I can see that you have started to contribute to that translation at https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/pt-br/default/wp-plugins/pw-woocommerce-gift-cards/

But the initial Brazilian language pack will become generated and distributed only once at least 90% of the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in the plugin have been translated (and approved). Now, thanks to the fact that a possibly decent translation is included in the plugin itself, you don’t have to start from zero.
1. Download the plugin itself and extract it on your computer in order to get the file /pw-woocommerce-gift-cards/languages/pw-woocommerce-gift-cards-pt_BR.po which you can edit locally on your computer, for instance with poedit.net (the free edition is totally enough in this case).
2. Go to https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/pw-woocommerce-gift-cards/dev/pt-br/default/ and use the “import” link at the bottom of the page to upload all these strings at once.

Next, you’ll need to cooperate with the Brazilian translation editorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor team. They’ll get notifications about this post (and my comment) since both contain the relevant localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ tag, and may chime in here directly.

We here are just volunteers like you, but some of use have a bit more access to the translation platform at translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins., but we have no access to any commercial licenses and stuff.
