You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Can you be more specific? What do you mean by “documentation”? Can you please give us links to projects on translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins.?

    There are translation projects on the system that are mostly for archive purposes, and these very old WordPress versions are a part of that.
    There’s really no point in spending time on that translation. Actually, in order to run this version of WordPress, you’d need to first change to an old (and insecure) version of PHPPHP PHP (recursive acronym for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML. http://php.net/manual/en/intro-whatis.php.!
    
    If you want to contribute to the Serbian translations, then I strongly suggest that you join the Serbian SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. team where they have their chat channel.
    
    Joining this local Slack workspace is a two-step process:
    1. First, join the GLOBAL Slack for WordPress contributors via https://make.wordpress.org/chat/
    
    2. Next, use your special forwarding email you received in step (1) in order to join the local Slack instance via https://wpserbia.slack.com/signup
    
    PS! The link you gave points wrong for me because I’ve changed the number of stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software.       @jobsrbija I’m very sorry but we cannot accept those translations. They are all written in Latin while official script is Cyrillic. On top of that, you are not using appropriate letters (z instead of ž, dj instead of đ etc).
      
      That being said, I second @tobifjellner comment about very old WordPress versions (which are already properly translated) being there mostly for archive purpose. Also, to make sure we have all coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. translations consistent, we have one person doing all core translations since the first translations to Serbian. It’s @dimadin so if you want to help out with translating core you should contact him.

But before you start suggesting stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings., it would be very good if you also join the Serbian Slack.
