# I wanted to be Translation…

I wanted to be Translation EditorTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve
translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager)
roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve
translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:

and [Project Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2021/07/21/i-wanted-to-be-translation/?output_format=md#project-translation-editor)
of Yoruba since the former Translation Editor has been inactive for a long period
of time.

    If you’ve got any questions or want some more experienced GTE to mentor you, ask

    channel “polyglots”. On Wednesdays we usually meet there, too. As I write this,
    next meeting is in 7 hours. As you go along, you may want to create a style guide
    and/or glossary entries as tools to help the translations to keep a common feeling.
