Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Weekly Meetings

Let me expand that information i little bit. If you want to become PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. for this pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party in #cs_CZ then you would first need to get some translation feedback from the translation team.
For more direct communication we use the chat application SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/., and the Czech team has their own Slack team at the address Michal shared above.

Joining their Slack team is a two-step process:
1. First join the global Slack team of WordPress contributors via https://make.wordpress.org/chat/ (Once in, you’re welcome to add yourself to the channel “polyglots” where we discuss WordPress in general on a global level.)
2. Next, use your special forwarding email that you received in step 1) in order to also join your local team via https://wpcz.slack.com/signup/

For the moment being, I’m removing the to-do status of this request since there’s nothing for me to follow up on here right now. (I mainly follow up on PTE requests and not on translation validations.)
