You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Hello Polyglots, I am the plugin author for Tidio https://wordpress.org/plugins/tidio-live-chat/. We are using a professional translation agency to localize our resources and our Localization Manager would be a great translation editor that we’d like to be able to approve translation for our plugin(s). The idea is that translations should be approved by people who know the target language well enough to check that translations are correct, follow the style guide of each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. Best candidates for this are the translators themselves.

If you’re sourcing these translations from professional translators and you fulfill several specific requests from us (informing the translators about available style-guides and ways to contact the translation teams; having a special profile with working communication channel for translation feedback, etc.), then there’s a special role that might be just right. It’s called CLPTECross-locale Project Translation Editor A Cross-Locale Project Translation Editor is an account owned by a plugin or theme author (or the authoring organization), which uses professional translators to localize their product. The cross-locale project translation editor can import/validate strings on a specific project for more than one locale. This role has the same capabilities as a Project Translation Editor over multiple locales instead of one. Cross-Locale Project Translation Editors need to meet a set of criteria before being appointed by General Translation Editors., Cross-Locale PTE. So: go ahead and create a special account for CLPTE and put contact information for feedback and information about how you source your translations, and then we’ll give you that role instead.

In the meantime: For languages that you or @olektidio know very well personally, you can request the PTE role.
