You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

  @mlfactory Everything here’s volunteer-powered (including me making sure that posts are correctly tagged so that the volunteers from various language teams will be able to find, validate and respond to requests). We typically allow at least 2 weeks for the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ teams to respond.
  
  If you’re in a hurry, then there are a couple of things you can do to speed things up:
  - Make sure that there are stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. waiting for validation/approval. Daher möchten wir an dieser Stelle dringend auf Styleguide, Komposita (Durchkoppeln mit/ohne Bindestrich) und unser verbindliches (!) Glossar hinweisen.
Wir empfehlen immer, die deutschsprachigen Strings entsprechend zu erstellen, um den Nutzern deines/eures Plugins eine möglichst hochwertige, professionelle und konsistente Lokalisierung zu bieten.

Das Polyglots-Team unterstützt gerne bei allen Fragen oder der Umsetzung im deutschen Slack #polyglots Channel. So tritt man dem deutschen Slack-Channel bei.

Hallo @mlfactory! Kannst Du bitte die vorgeschlagenen Übersetzungen für de_AT in die informelle Form überführen? Es gibt derzeit keine formelle Variante des LocalesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/. Zusätzlich zum spezifisch österreichischen Glossar gelten auch die von Jens beschriebenen Richtlinien wie für de_DE. (Spezifisches Feedback gerne im österreichischen Slack.)
