 3. Hi [@piggyloyalty](https://profiles.wordpress.org/piggyloyalty/)
      The idea is
that translations should be made/checked/approved by someone who actually knows
the target language well enough to be sure that the translation is correct and
follows the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language
code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico.
A list of all locales supported by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)’
s style guide and glossary. (See [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/tools/glotpress-translate-wordpress-org/list-of-glossaries-per-locale/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/tools/glotpress-translate-wordpress-org/list-of-glossaries-per-locale/))
 4. Usually, the best person to be appointed is the translator himself/herself. They
can then be in direct contact with their respective language team (see: [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/about/teams/local-slacks/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/about/teams/local-slacks/)),
get feedback and ensure good quality.
 5. Note: Your initial request included only short language codes (nl, de, en). Before
publishing your request, I expanded those to the locale codes (see: [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/))
     most probable.
Next step is for the people from these locale teams to come back
     here and comment.
