PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. Hello Polyglots, I am the plugin author for WIjntransport – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wijntransport/.
I’ve updated the plugin and updated some translation stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. but the old ones are picked up and are installed to the users instead of the new, correct ones so i would like to be able to upated the generated files from translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins.

Hi
I checked your nl_NL status, which is at 100%. So the language is current, if you experiance problems then you need to check your development environment! Normally when you translate, there are two possebillities “stable” and ” development”. I only see one translation, which I assume looking at your remarks it is “stable”.

Besides that your translations did not meet the requirements (usage of glossaray and do not follow the guidelines.)

Correction to my statement in previous comment, both “stable” and “development” are present and at 100%
How many lines do you expect to be present? Can you indicate which translation you are missing?

Let me add a bit more information to what @psmits1567 wrote above.

Since WordPress 4.6, translations from translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins. will load with priority over any translations included directly in the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. In other words, for those languages where there is a language pack listed in https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/wijntransport/language-packs/ that language pack will override what you include in your plugin.

The stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in the translation project at translate.wordpress.org are fetched by scanning your code for calls to the translation functions. Any .pot filePOT file POT files are the template files for PO files. They will have all the translation strings left empty. A POT file is essentially an empty PO file without the translations, with just the original strings. you include in the plugin is simply ignored.

The “dev” translation project is built from scanning the files under /trunk.
The “stable” translation project is built from scanning the files under your stable tag folder.

When a translation is confirmed, it automatically synchronizes between stable and dev. But, obviously, the stable project is what counts against thresholds for building a language pack, for instance. (First language pack is built when the stable project has at least 90% of the strings translated and confirmed.)

I needed to adjust them as you used formal German (Sie) instead of informal (du) which we use for de_DE default. I also adjusted some already approved strings which were incorrect. Please keep always in mind the German Glossary and Guidelines.
