You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Polyglots Handbook reorganization
- @evarlese and @lidialab updated the order of the Handbook yesterday. There’s a post incoming shortly with an overview of the updates, and what’s left.
- We’re at about 99% done, now that the Handbook has been reorganized!
- There are a few small tasks left, volunteers can sign up here.

Call for volunteers for Learn WordPress
- @nao recently posted a call for volunteers to help with localizing content on Learn WordPress through translation, discussion groups, and workshops in languages other than English.
International Translation Day
- September 30th is International Translation Day
- The Bhutanese locale team are planning an event for that day, and the Venezuelan team is beginning planning as well
- There’s no news just yet on a global translation day, but that could change if more teams are interested, though some localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ have expressed that Sept. 30th can be hard because it’s a weekday (so we could consider events throughout the week)
