I hope you’re doing well today. Thank you for requesting PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. for Indonesian (#id_ID) for your theme Ridhi.

As checked there are still 9 untranslated strings. And two of them are quite longer. Do you feel confident enough to translate them to Indonesian properly? What approach would you do since you don’t speak Indonesian? It sounds intimidating but I’ve got a reason since you’re requesting one account for multiple localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/.

  As we are not a native speaker and we don’t have volunteers, we cannot translate those stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.. Please review the translated strings so that it reaches 90% and the language file can be generated.
  
  We are looking for volunteer but we are not getting any volunteer.

    I reviewed the translations under ‘Waiting’ status and marked 6 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. as ‘Fuzzy’ for issues found. Other else were approved.

You’ve made a very good job for the es-AR localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/. Just a couple of strings that didn’t follow our glossary i.e. knowledge base.

Reviewed Japanese and added some more, now it’s 99%.

One suggestion about the original stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. – it’ll be better if you could add a context to this one (“On”). It is used to mean “Date on:” but seeing by itself, I may translate it to オン, as in “on/off”.

Hi I have reviewed a few translations for nl_NL, it appears that you have used the “Formal” translation when importing the translations. That is not ok as it includes a lot of lines containing “u”.
That is a Formal verb which is not OK for default.
I can approve the ones that are OK, but the others I will set to “Fuzzy”

Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. requests, and much less so for requests “just to review”. The reason is that this is a volunteer effort, we can’t demand too big time from the GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale.’s of each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/. Usually the best candidate for the the PTE role is the person that did the translation.

A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ tag for #ru_RU (and mentioned the tag here in order to trigger a notification to the relevant language team).

I value what @tobifjellner just mentioned and I couldn’t agree more.
You’ve requested a lot of checks on different places for a lot of themes. These aren’t themes with just a few stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings., but with a few hundred. I would recommend reaching out and looking for PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves.’s and we can make sure someone gets PTE rights, only if their translations are good and following guidelines/glossary.

I’ve checked around 100 strings, but not all since I don’t have the time at hand at this time.
