Hello, The Polyglots TeamPolyglots Team Polyglots Team is a group of multilingual translators who work on translating plugins, themes, documentation, and front-facing marketing copy. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/.!

We have an issue with a global translation of our plugin CleanTalk Spam Protection https://wordpress.org/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/

We have added or edited some strings to translation but they did not appear on the global translation list https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect/stable/ru/default/

We want to change the translation and update the language pack, but we permanently see 99 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. to translate ant this number hasn’t been changed yet. Why is this happening and how we can fix it?

I’m not sure that I understand what you want to do.
There are quite a few pending stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in the Readme translation. These can be approved by one of the Russian PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves.’s for this project, @aleksandrrazor @shagimuratov
If they won’t move things (and I can see that strings from @likos have been pending for some 9 months…) then you could ask the #ru_RU team to consider assigning other/additional PTE’s.
At the same time I should note that Readme translations are handled individually and without threshold with regards to translation percentage. And also: We’re volunteer-powered here. Not many people like to spend their time on translation of changelog items.
Now, if you bother about these pending strings, since you’re already Russian PTE for some other projects: Would you like to request PTE status for this pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. I mean we have added some new stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. to our code, but they had not been uploaded to the translate.wordpress.orgtranslate.wordpress.org The platform for contributing to the translation of WordPress core, themes and plugins.. We have 305 strings in our .pot, but only 99 on translate.wordpress.org available.

A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. that may be translated. It will totally disregard any .pot filePOT file POT files are the template files for PO files. They will have all the translation strings left empty. A POT file is essentially an empty PO file without the translations, with just the original strings. you may have included.

Please consider removing #ru_RU tag, as this is a general request type, not the one that can be solved by localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale.

You’re using `cleantalk` but the slug of the plugin is `cleantalk-spam-protect`. Once changed the import will work again.
