You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

As you probably know, WordPress translations are powered by volunteers. The translation editorsTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor are volunteering their time, and so am I, as a global mentor for WordPress translations.

They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. Being a GTE for Swedish, I have previously checked some strings for your plugin.

It contains quite a few unclear strings, where a comment to translators or a context marker might have been useful. Some examples:
- New reply from %1$s, %2$s (What’s in those variables? Perhaps some languages don’t need the comma?)
- POST (is this a verb, “to publish”, or a “post in a blog”?)
- %1$s RevisionsRevisions The WordPress revisions system stores a record of each saved draft or published update. The revision system allows you to see what changes were made in each revision by dragging a slider (or using the Next/Previous buttons). The display indicates what has changed in each revision. (What’s in the variable, a number, a title, or what?)
- all topics has been loaded in this list (Why does the phrase start with lowercase? How are you going to use this stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.?)
- and (How are you going to use this? Looks like you’re going to glue various strings together to create a list… But not all languages handle lists in the same way. In Swedish, for instance, you’d not put a comma before the and/or at the end of the list…)
- forum rules (Again: lowercase indicates that you’re going to glue this into something else. This is a big no-no: depending on the surrounding text, the translation of this phrase may need to be in a specific form. A guess is that this one goes together with “I have read and agree to abide by the %s.” But who knows… Better: “I have read and agree to abide by the %1$sforum rules%2$s.”)
And so on.
The global team is not going to follow up on this request, so I’ll remove the to-do status. A better option for you would be to contact some users with pending strings (mention them in a post in your plugin forum) and ask if they’d be interested in becoming PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors.
