PTE Request for Coronavirus COVID-19 Watch

Hello Polyglots, I am the plugin author for Coronavirus COVID-19 Watch https://wordpress.org/plugins/coronavirus-covid-19-watch/. We have a number of great translation editors that we’d like to be able to approve translation for our plugin(s). Please add the following WordPress.org users as translation editors for their respective locales:

The idea is that translations should be approved by people who know the target language well enough to check that translations are correct, follow the style guide of each localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. Best candidates for this are the translator themselves.

The locale tags we use here are the full “WP locale” strings listed on https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ so I corrected two of them for you before publishing you post, in order to notify the relevant teams of your request.

Regarding English: Whatever strings you put in your plugin will be used for en_US, so we don’t translate TO en_US, only FROM.

If there’s no language pack, they’ll get the original strings, which for most plugins are totally understandable. Regarding “All”. Actually, we DO have such a role, it’s called CLPTECross-locale Project Translation Editor A Cross-Locale Project Translation Editor is an account owned by a plugin or theme author (or the authoring organization), which uses professional translators to localize their product. The cross-locale project translation editor can import/validate strings on a specific project for more than one locale. This role has the same capabilities as a Project Translation Editor over multiple locales instead of one. Cross-Locale Project Translation Editors need to meet a set of criteria before being appointed by General Translation Editors., Cross-Locale PTE. I just saw that someone translated the pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party into German, that’s really cool. The concept does take a while to get your head around but ultimately does make sense.

  There’s no hard limit number. If you translate 2 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. really well, that each consists of 100 words, then you’re good to go.
  If you translate: Yes, No, Black, White, Continue… then you should do a few more 🙂
