You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

I deleted the line with en_US in your request, since we never translate TO en_US. Whatever stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. you put in your code is by WordPress regarded as en_US (even if you write something in Cyrillic or Arabic script…)

      It’s only been 5 days (including a weekend) since your request was posted. Since everything is powered by volunteers, we usually give the local teams ( #nl_NL in this case) at least two weeks to respond.

A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. and I must say that the translations are 1) not following our guidelines and 2) are not consistent or grammatically correct. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. for now.

Few remarks:
1) You are using formal use ‘u’ while we use informal use (‘je’)
2) You translate ‘pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party’ to plug-in, which is probably translated through a translation service rather than someone speaking Dutch natively.
3) You are not using our guidelines and glossary. Please keep in mind to use the Glossary for Dutch (nl_NL) when checking/adding translations and following our style guides that are mentioned on top of our glossary.

I hope this helps to translate better and consistent.

I’m removing the to-do status of this request since there currently is nothing more left for the localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ team(s) to do. In order to proceed with this request, you (or, where applicable, the translator) can follow the instructions given in previous comments.
In addition to what was said above: There’s a Dutch SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. instance, where you may chat directly with the #nl_NL translation team. You join in the following way:
1. First, go to https://make.wordpress.org/chat and do what you need to do in order to join the global chat space for WordPress contributions. In order to join it, you’ll activate a special forwarding address that consists of your username and the domain chat.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/. Emails to that address are forwarded to your normal email address in your .org profile, but only if they were sent from the Slack servers (or a couple of other services).
2. In the next step, join the Dutch Slack via https://wpnl.slack.com/signup using your forwarding address from step 1.
