 3. The whole idea with having a PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation
Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings
on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen)
for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that
are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed
     by a [general translation editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#general-translation-editor)
after a [request by the project author](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/theme-plugin-directories/#requesting-new-translation-editors)
or by the contributors themselves. (Project Translation EditorProject Translation

language well enough to be able to check that the translation will create a good
and consistent experience for the end user.
Therefore a PTE (just like a user

help and conversations around using WordPress. Also the place to go to report
issues that are caused by errors with the WordPress code and implementations.)
would typically be an individual, rather than a company account. Most efficient
is when a good translator is given the PTE role, so that his/hers contributions
immediately become approved. In addition, many localeLocale Locale = language

team. As a minimum, many language teams want to see translation contributions
from the user, who is about to be assigned as PTE, in order to check the quality
     of the translation contribution.
 4. For Swedish (sv_SE) I can see no translations at all from [@godaddy](https://profiles.wordpress.org/godaddy/)

5 days ago, a more or less decent translation (but with some signs of typical
machine translation problems, therefore some chunks of the translation were rejected
when we checked the contribution) was uploaded by [@fjarrett](https://profiles.wordpress.org/fjarrett/)
If Frankie Jarrett actually knows Swedish, then he really should invite himself
to the Swedish Slack team, and we would quickly bring him up to speed and assign
     him PTE status.
 5. If GoDaddy here is using commercially obtained professional translations, then
you should probably ask for cross-locale PTE status instead. See [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/roles-and-capabilities/#cross-locale-project-translation-editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/roles-and-capabilities/#cross-locale-project-translation-editor)
