You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Don’t see your language? You can request support for it.

Releases: 202 (±0) locale, 42 (+3) up to date, 10 (-2) behind by minor versions, 8 (-1) behind by one major version, 58 (±0) behind more than one major version, 76 (±0) have site but never released, 8 (±0) have no site.
Translations: 202 (±0) total, 46 (+3) at 100%, 17 (-2) over 95%, 11 (-1) over 90%, 37 (±0) over 50%, 79 (±0) below 50%, 117 (±0) have a language pack generated, 12 (±0) have no project.

Requests: There are 186 unresolved editor requests out of 2 611 (+12) total and 7 unresolved locale requests out of 113 (±0) total.

Expectations page: machine translations
- Our General Expectations handbook page has been updating with comments regarding machine translations (thanks @tobifjellner for the edit and adding sub-headings!)
- GTEs are not expected to correct all of low-quality submissions. It’s ok to mass reject after spot-checking if they need re-submission (and let the translator know if possible).
Proposal for handling PTE requests
- Please give feedback to the post, and try to focus on feasible but big impact changes first (then let’s make it better progressively).
- If you are interested in actively working on this PTE request flow project as a developer, designer, project manager, etc., please leave a comment as well

  - es_MX: mostly about the formal/informal voices.
  - There are plenty of differences even between the Spanish used in Latin American countries.
  - Currently, no cross-locale guide by WP translation teams exist.
