 7. Hi [@codazeveneto](https://profiles.wordpress.org/codazeveneto/)
      It’s been quite
a while since you made your request. Everything around WordPress is powered by
volunteer efforts and, unfortunately, preparing new localesLocale Locale = language
version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance
es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported
     by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)
is one of the things that go relatively slowly.
 8. Before we continue on this route, I want to ask you a few things.
 9. It takes a team and commitment to translate and maintain a localeLocale Locale
= language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code,
for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales
     supported by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/).
Usually, at least 2-3 people are needed in order to ensure continuity in the project.

The initial translation effort to translate WordPress coreCore Core is the set
of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress.
is around 7500 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software.
A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. (some of them quite
long). All of this needs to be completely translated before a localized version
will be created. And after this there are updates several times a year, where
     you’ll need to catch up.
 10. If this user is actually an organization, then we strongly suggest that each individual
contributor instead registers their user-id and contribute from them.
 11. In addition to this: In order for site visitors to see the site in their own language,
you also need to translate themes and plugins.
 12. If you want to become a locale manager and GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General
Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access
to validate strings on **all projects for a specific locale.** (see [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/roles-and-capabilities/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/roles-and-capabilities/))
then we request that you supply a bit more information in your profile ( [https://profiles.wordpress.org/me](https://profiles.wordpress.org/me)
while logged-in) and that you join the global SlackSlack Slack is a Collaborative
Group Chat Platform [https://slack.com/](https://slack.com/). The WordPress community

team for WordPress contributors via [https://make.wordpress.org/chat](https://make.wordpress.org/chat)
 13. One more thing. The “Site description” should be “WordPress in xxx language” in
your own language. Can you please provide that stringString A string is a translatable

      * Nice to hear you [@tobifjellner](https://profiles.wordpress.org/tobifjellner/)!

Don’t worry for this months, we know that such amazing projects take time,
there’s lot of things to do before.
      * Yep, we’re a translating group, and we’ll organize a translation team for WordPress.
Actually we don’t know how many members will join to this project, but someone
        will work on surely.
      * For security purpouse this profile will take the localeLocale Locale = language
