Who we are
We are Complianz, a collaboration of four WordPress and IT/Privacy Law professionals. We developed the Complianz pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party, which helps users around the globe to comply to international privacy law (GDPR, CaCPA, COPPA and more). We are determined on making our plugin available in a growing number of languages/localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ and supporting local privacy legislation.

Our translators
We work with a network of (WordPress) translators and are always open to new collaborators. We use a translating agency Translation Agency Perfect for ISO verified legal translations (for the legal documents created with our plugin), which get verified by WordPress localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. We are always open to volunteers, who often contact us via our website or e-mail. In all cases we make sure that our translators use the community style guides and glossaries.

    As one of the global mentors for Polyglots, I check that posts in this blog are tagged in such a way that they can be found by the right people.
    However, fort he moment being, I’m not handling requests for CL-PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. myself, that’s done by other members of the mentor group.
    Just like everyone else in the Polyglots teamPolyglots Team Polyglots Team is a group of multilingual translators who work on translating plugins, themes, documentation, and front-facing marketing copy. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/., the mentors do this as volunteers on their free time. 1. Make sure that the translators they hire use the community style guides and glossaries, or create ones based on them and provide public links.

Could you confirm that your translators are using the existing community style guides and glossaries or have their own?

2. Create a new account for this role rather than using a personal one, and fill in the profile page with contact information so that the local translation team can get a hold of them.

We request you to create a separate account for submitting translations. Could you please do this?

  1. I can confirm that we only use the community style guides and glossaries and communicate these to all translators (hired or volunteers).
