Hi I want help wordpress with Punjabi translation…

Hi
I want help wordpress with Punjabi translation( pa_PK ). Can I become Punjabi validatorValidator See translation editor.? Currently there are no validators for this language. Punjabi is my mother tongue.
Punjabi is mother tongue of 55% pakistanis about 120 million people.
Pakistan “Punjabi” code is “pnb”

In https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ you can see our list of current WordPress translations, and pa_PK isn’t even there. Efforts have been made for pa_IN although not much has happened there the last couple of years.

So yes, you’re very welcome. It would be good if you could gather a team, since the task of bringing a new localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ up to speed and then maintaining it is usually too much for one single person, especially since we in most cases do this on our free time.

      Actually pa_IN is known as ‘Eastern Punjabi’ because it was devided from pa_PK(greater punjabi). There are about 25 million speakers of pa_IN (indian/eastern punjabi) and 120 million speakers of pa_PK(Punjabi used in pakistan and rest).

      pa_PK: Punjabi, (Punjabi language)
      So, Sir must change English name of language according to it.

      Looks like the $plural_expression is actually “n > 1”, meaning one form as “0, 1” and the rest as the other form. Reference: https://php-gettext.github.io/Languages/ and also the test result based on CLDR data: https://travis-ci.org/github/GlotPress/GlotPress-WP/jobs/704585915#L348-L357

        Actually, Plural Expression is same for Punjab(Pakistan) as Panjabi(India).
