You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

All WordPress translations work the same way: The original is (supposed to be) in US English. If a stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. hasn’t been translated, then it is shown in the original language.
The site nqo.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ should hopefully some day be translated into N’ko by your team. But it’s a bit task.
You will find the relevant translation projects under https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/nqo/default/meta/
The projects WordPress.org and RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages. are the most important ones.

But of course, your really big task is to translate the four projects under CoreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress./development. When you reach 100% on these four projects, then an N’ko release of WordPress can be made.

Technically, you could download each corresponding French translation and upload them as pending or fuzzy stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings., that way, when you translate a string, you’d get a good hint.
But: if you do this, then you should know that someone without editor access would start translating, then the French and N’ko strings would both become waiting, and you might afterwards need to manually select only N’ko strings for approval…

  Finally, some contributors are asking me that if translating themes and Plugins is also a volunteering or paid job?

If you want, I can try to check why your site nqo.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ doesn’t seem to reflect that.
    
    (My guess would be that in order for N’ko to be selectable as site language, a coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. translation needs to be established first.)
    
    Yes. Translating themes (as well as mentoring Polyglots) is a volunteered undertaking.
    Of course, now and then a developer may look for paid translations of their products, but that’s happening outside of WordPress.org.
