You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Hi,
I’m not on the team for French, but would like to make a couple of comments:
1. All translation efforts here including validation are made by volunteers. Due to limited resources, many teams need to concentrate on checking and approving PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. (Project Translation EditorsTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor), rather than just over-and-over checking and approving pending translations.
So: Would you be interested in being appointed as PTE for this pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. 2. Note that language packs are generated only when at least 95% of the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in the code of a plugin or theme have been translated and approved. Even after your pending strings would be approved, the French translation will be nowhere near that threshold.
Best and nicest solution would of course be to continue translate all of the plugin. (Note that readme is NOT included in this calculation.)

Until then, a quicker solution:
At the bottom of the translation page, you may download existing and pending translations as an moMO files MO, or Machine Object is a binary data file that contains object data referenced by a program. It is typically used to translate program code, and may be loaded or imported into the GNU gettext program. This is the format used in a WordPress install. These files are normally located inside .../wp-content/languages/-file, which you can put in /wp-includes/languages/plugins/

  I had a look at your translations and I had to reject most of them either because they do not match our guidelines or because they do not reflect the idea of the original stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings..
  
  I’ve marked as fuzzy the translation with typographical errors (mostly ' instead of ’).
  
  Please also note that it is not recommended to work on the dev version of an extension since it can be overwritten if the developer updates this version. It’s better to work with the stable version.
