You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. yet. Maybe with time.
  
  But Popup Notices plugin already has. Did you notice something wrong with it?

    Hi. Special Characters has 38 stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. to be translated as you can see here.
    
    Popup Notices has 88 (here is the link).
    
    Problems noticed:
    
    On this string, “Cupom” shouldn’t be capitalized AND there is no question mark on the original (actually the original doesn’t seem to be a question).
    
    The “as vezes” on this one should be “às vezes”.
    
    Here there is no end point (the original stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. has it)
    
    Also, as you can see here — the link to it is in the translation guidelines I pointed you before —, we generally translate “popup” as “pop-up”, and we avoid unnecessary capitalized words, so prefer “pop-up” over “Popup” whenever it’s possible.

      I’ve already changed some stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party version. I’m waiting for wp.org to update the POT filePOT file POT files are the template files for PO files. They will have all the translation strings left empty. A POT file is essentially an empty PO file without the translations, with just the original strings. now.
