# New locale for CHTI

Hello there, we would like to start a localeLocale Locale = language version, often
a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish
as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)
for “CHTI” (french slang from North of France) similar to what the pirate locale
is. Like the pirate locale, there isn’t really much info but I have supplied what
I know 🙂

**Locale**: fr_CHTI
**Country code**: fr **Plural forms**: nplurals=2; plural=(
n > 1); (same as french) **Language native name**: Ch’ti **Language English name**:
Chti **Sub-domain**: ? **Site Title**: Ch’ti **Site Description**: WordPress in
ch’ti ichi ! **Admin Username(s)**: [@juliobox](https://profiles.wordpress.org/juliobox/)**
Admin Email address**: (REDACTED)

Am I right with “_locale_” and “_country code_”
 Thank you 🙂

        requests have piled up.
Maintaining a locale is a really big undertaking in
the beginning and not too trivial, going forward. You may want to start looking
for a team of interested people already now. A couple of places where you could

soon and in the meantime I recommend that you use poEdit if you’d like to start

Could you confirm that we are still available to translate?
