 3. Hi [@cgalves](https://profiles.wordpress.org/cgalves/),
 4. In order to approve you as a PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation
Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings
on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen)
for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that
are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed
    by a [general translation editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#general-translation-editor)
after a [request by the project author](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/theme-plugin-directories/#requesting-new-translation-editors)
or by the contributors themselves. for [#pt_BR](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=pt_BR)
you must first translate at least some stringsString A string is a translatable
part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings..
After that, please, pingPing The act of sending a very small amount of data to
an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target
server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone
or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of“
Ping me when the meeting starts.” me here and I’ll be happy to update your status
there. Don’t forget to follow our [translations guidelines](https://br.wordpress.org/guia-de-traducao-do-wordpress/).

     * Hey [@felipeelia](https://profiles.wordpress.org/felipeelia/),
     * I’ve provided a few suggestion stringsString A string is a translatable part
of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.
in “Development (trunk)” which should hopefully follow the [#pt_BR](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=pt_BR)
       guidelines.

        - Thanks for the quick reply, but unfortunately the stringsString A string
is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude
of localized strings. provided don’t follow the guidelines, specially the
          uppercase/lowercase section.
Also, please pay attention to Brazilian Portuguese
differences to Portugal’s: the _activar_ verb doesn’t have the _c_ letter,
we spell that as _ativar_ here. 😉

           * I was unsure if the uppercase/lowercase rule applied to buttons (which
was the case with the stringsString A string is a translatable part of
the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings.
I suggested), but I’ve corrected that.
              As for _ativar/activar_, while
we’re technically supposed to be writing it the same way here now, it
can be a little difficult to go against years of writing and typing it
in a different way. I’m generally aware of how things are supposed to
be spelt in Brazilian Portuguese. Things like this are more of typos than
anything. I’ll try to be more careful in the future. 🙂
