Hi @Veronique, both emre and mustafa are GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale. so there is no need to assign them to the project. They can contribute whenever they want.

    i belive no need to pingPing The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of “Ping me when the meeting starts.” GTEs to approve or translate something. When they have time, they do tanslations and approvals. That is what i am saying.

I’ve gone through all of the waiting stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. for #nb_NO. A lot of them needs improvement and are marked as fuzzy.

We GTEs here don’t have resources to check other’s translations to plugins or themes so we give out project based rights to active users in community so they can approve their own translations.

You’ve listed General Translation EditorsTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
General Translation Editor and Project Translation Editor for each of the localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ in your request. General Translation Editors already have access to validate all WordPress projects.

You should add this type of request if there are people who are translating your pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party specifically and would like to be able to validate the stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. These will be the people who suggested the strings to being with. And you should have their “Ok” before requesting to add them as editors.

  I can understand the confusion, however.
  
  We will follow the proposed route of sourcing our own users so that they can be added as editors for our plugins.

Not an easy thing to grasp when you first come here.
