You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

At least for en-GB, you are not assigned to any projects – you appear on https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=en_GB because you seemingly contributed (directly or indirectly) at least one stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. to one set in one project at one point 🙂

GTEs can’t easily find (that I know of) where those stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. would be – you’d need to ask someone like @ocean90 to see where they were. Though there’s really no drawback to keeping the credit on there – it’s not like it’s a named role on the en_GB team.

The reason you appear on CF7 (and presumably others), is that you a Project Translation EditorProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project (for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale. A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. – see https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=pl_PL, which means you have been specifically given a named role to update the strings on some projects, and approve/reject strings submitted by others.

You’d need to speak to one of the GTEs to amend this role if needed.   Yes, that looks like a misclick on my part – when selecting the “Plugins” categoryCategory The 'category' taxonomy lets you group posts / content together that share a common bond. Categories are pre-defined and broad ranging. I must’ve accidentaly clicked the “Plugins” checkbox and that checkbox changed to a HTMLHTML HTML is an acronym for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is a markup language that is used in the development of web pages and websites. select tag after selecting some plugins, so it went unnoticed. @ocean90 to prevent such mistakes in the future, it would be great if there was a “All plugins”, “All themes” etc. field at the top of particular lists instead of using this field which gets hidden. I’ve also checked that other translators don’t have incorrect permissions, although for other languages I imagine this problem might also occur. Thanks for letting us know, @beherit and thanks to @ocean90 for looking into it.

The same goes for en_CA as with en_GB, you’re listed as a Translation ContributorTranslation Contributor Translation Contributors (formerly known as Translators) are volunteers that focus on translating projects into their language. They contribute to improving their language either in a small way, like fixing a typo, or a large way, likes translating entire projects. here;

So you must at some point have suggested translations to stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. within en_CA and as @garyj mentioned it’s hard to find what those strings were and there’s no negative to being listed on the contributors.
