# Hi,

My colleague ([@karenannelies](https://profiles.wordpress.org/karenannelies/)) made
the Dutch (nl) translation for our plugin Jackmail => https://translate.wordpress.

 Could
someone put her (or us [@heyjackmail](https://profiles.wordpress.org/heyjackmail/))
as a PTEProject Translation Editor A Project Translation Editor (often referred
to as PTE) is a person, who has access to validate strings on a specific project(
for example BuddyPress, WooCommerce or Twenty Fourteen) for one specific locale.
A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors.
Per project translation, editors are appointed by a [general translation editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#general-translation-editor)
after a [request by the project author](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/rosetta/theme-plugin-directories/#requesting-new-translation-editors)
or by the contributors themselves. for our pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software
containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can
extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins
are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress.
These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory [https://wordpress.org/plugins/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/)
or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party., or a NL GTEGeneral Translation

has global access to validate strings on **all projects for a specific locale.**/
PTE (I’m not sure) check the translation and approve it 🙂 ?

I need also someone to set my colleague [@mailifymola2017](https://profiles.wordpress.org/mailifymola2017/)
as a PTE of our spanish translation :
 [#es_es](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/?locale=es_ES)
[@mailifymola2017](https://profiles.wordpress.org/mailifymola2017/)

We also have a lot of awaiting stringsString A string is a translatable part of
the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. in :

[@isaackeyet](https://profiles.wordpress.org/isaackeyet/) [@jyourstone](https://profiles.wordpress.org/jyourstone/)

I mentionned 3 GTE as it was suggested in slackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group
Chat Platform [https://slack.com/](https://slack.com/). The WordPress community
has its own Slack Channel at [https://make.wordpress.org/chat/](https://make.wordpress.org/chat/).

Hope i’m not wrong.

Could someone approve them?

Thanks guys!

 3. Hello [@heyjackmail](https://profiles.wordpress.org/heyjackmail/),
 4. A strong recommendation here is for you to get in touch with the people who translated
your waiting stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation
consists of a multitude of localized strings. for the localesLocale Locale = language
version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance
es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by
    WordPress in [https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/)
you mention above and make a request for them to become PTEs.
 5. General Translation EditorsTranslation Editor Translation editors can approve translations
for projects. The GTE (General Translation Editor) and LM (Locale Manager) roles
can add new users with the "Project Translation Editor" role that can approve translations
for specific projects. There are two different Translation Editor roles:
     [General Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2017/11/21/hi-22/?output_format=md#general-translation-editor)
    and [Project Translation Editor](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2017/11/21/hi-22/?output_format=md#project-translation-editor)
have a huge queue of waiting strings to approve and a much better approach is to
get them help by adding your own translators as editors.
 6. Cheers,
     Petya

     * Hi [@petya](https://profiles.wordpress.org/petya/),
     * Sadly, I already did that request but none of them has been put as a PTEProject

     * I’m totally awared they have a lot to do. I’m just hoping to be in the queue
       sooner or later.

        - Yes, I understand. This happens often in a volunteer environment, it’s great
          that you’re patient and understanding.
           Cheers, Petya
