They are events where people get together to work on various areas of https://make.wordpress.org/ There are many teams that people can participate in, each with a different focus. https://2017.us.wordcamp.org/contributor-day/ https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/getting-started/getting-started-at-a-contributor-day/. on WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. Nijmegen I led the Polyglots teamPolyglots Team Polyglots Team is a group of multilingual translators who work on translating plugins, themes, documentation, and front-facing marketing copy. https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/., 13 people in total, of which 3 new polyglots!

We made good progress and got to 100% for #nl_nl for the following:

  • WordPress for Android
  • BuddyPress
  • Advanced Custom Fields: Gravityforms Add-on
  • Contact Form 7
  • WordPress Importer
  • Mollie Payments for WooCommerce

Further we did not have enough time to finish the following for #nl_nl:

  • WooCommerce 99%
  • EWWW Image Optimizer (Readme not done)
  • WordCamp (from 61% to 83%)

Very positive reactions from all participants, and the new translators indicated the learning curve was really not present. They could start translating after registering their .org id, and they really liked that.
