You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Hi @mahlamusa,
I agree with the n != 1 for SiSwati, but should it not be n>1 for isiZulu? In case you confirm n != 1, can you provide me the source where you found it?

  I am not sure about the nplurals. Maybe if I got clarity I will be able to give the right information. I haven’t found the original source. Here is a link to the language information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swazi_language

    For Zulu, can you confirm that
    0 and 1 both use singular
    (as in “0 orange”, rather than “0 oranges”)

        For Zulu, “0 oranges” contradicts what we’ve found in a language database. Could you give some links to any online sources (perhaps in Zulu) that confirms this?

And a 2nd question, this time for SiSwati: According to my sources that is a language in ZA and not in SD (Sudan) as you specified. Could you please confirm?

  Sorry, that was a typo, it’s supposed to be SZ not SD, SZ for Swaziland. Yes SiSwati is spoken in South Africa, but mainly in Swaziland.

Both of the requested localesLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ are now ready for translation. The sites have been created, as well as the translation sets for the latest WordPress version, it’s administration and network administration.

I’ve also created translation sets for the RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages. (local sites) and the PluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party and Theme Directories.
