Hi Polyglots i would like to know what…

Hi Polyglots,
i would like to know, what is the future of language support in WordPress. WP is probably the only and last modern CMS, that do not support multiple languages by default – i mean posts and taxonomies, not just some stringString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. translation.
There are several plugins – WPML, Polylang … one worse then the other, adding too much complexity and destroying compatibility with many plugins, themes, rest apiREST API The REST API is an acronym for the RESTful Application Program Interface (API) that uses HTTP requests to GET, PUT, POST and DELETE data. It is how the front end of an application (think “phone app” or “website”) can communicate with the data store (think “database” or “file system”) https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/. etc. as there is no standard how to do it properly. (and of course also the price of some plugins is blocker for many usages).
For me this is the main and biggest problem for WP, the only reason, why i am always wondering, if i would use for my next project WP, or something, where multilanguage is supported by default.
I think, that the problem is us – we do not cry enough and let the problem grow with every version – we should push the coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. decisions makers to make it a key differenciation for next major wordpress version.
I know, that the transition will “hurt” and also WPML, Plogylot … teams would not be happy but i believe, that they will still find a way, how to offer some advantages and that they would migrate to the new standardised schema.
So if you agree – how to raise our voice and push this to happen?
