Translate WordPress

You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Don’t see your language? You can request support for it.

Weekly Meetings

Support for non-latin characters in Twenty Seventeen – call for development help
Global WordPress translation day – organising spreadsheet is ready, date is November 12th, let’s get going and start signing up events and planning sessions. Here are some roles you can take on:
- Local organiser – organise an event in your city
- Remote event organiser – take on helping people speaking your language from a remote location in set hours
- Speaker – do a session about translating WordPress in your language
- Reaching out to local communities and encouraging them to organise a local event
- Helping figure out the sessions – what sessions did we have last time, what sessions do we want this time
- Promo video – you can take on the role of reaching out to people and gathering the videos
- Promo video production – create the video from the videos everyone sends
