Translations: 162 locales. 57 locales at 100%. 5 locales have more than 95%. 6 locales have more than 90%. 23 locales have more than 50%. 61 locales have less than 50%. 10 locales don᾿t have a WP project.

  • Taking care of 100% translated locales that haven’t released
    • zh_CH, zh_TW, de_CH, Ja & Cy are behind one minor version even though they’re at 100%
    • de_CH and Ja are about to create the packages.
  • Pinging GTEs of locales that are at 95%+ for manual release
  • Locale stats archive – let’s gather the stats at one place + looking for help to fill the data. There’s a spreadsheet for now – @petya is looking for help to fill it out (search through chat notes, slackSlack Slack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platform https://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel at https://make.wordpress.org/chat/. logs for locale stats data).

Technical update

  • New version of GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org.:
  • The performance issue was fixed, right before GWTD! Thanks to @akirk & @barry
  • Also new, for translate.w.org: https://translate.wordpress.org/consistency
  • Translation Sync for pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party projects – Previously only new translations were synced between dev<->stable. Since a week or so all edits are also synced.
  • Coming later this day: When a plugin releases a new version all translations will be copied from dev to stable.

NB! If you worked on something specific with your team that can’t be measured via t.w.org, like writing documentation or improving your RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages. site, please add it in the comments of the recap post. Let’s gather everything we did and generate ideas for the next one.
