Translations: 160 locales. 8 locales at 100%. 52 locales have more than 95%. 6 locales have more than 90%. 24 locales have more than 50%. 59 locales have less than 50%. 11 locales don᾿t have a WP project.

New locales: Have a few locales that need to be created and new GTEs onboarded. We also have several GTEGeneral Translation Editor A General Translation Editor (often referred to as GTE) is a person, who has global access to validate strings on all projects for a specific locale. requests for inactive locales that we’ll be handling this week.

A project translation editor can approve strings that are added by translation contributors. Per project translation, editors are appointed by a general translation editor after a request by the project author or by the contributors themselves. requests and pingPing The act of sending a very small amount of data to an end point. Ping is used in computer science to illicit a response from a target server to test it’s connection. Ping is also a term used by Slack users to @ someone or send them a direct message (DM). Users might say something along the lines of “Ping me when the meeting starts.” GTEs for reaction

  • Petya to do the research necessary to add sites/modify the data for locales with no site so they can be ready for GWTD

  • Work on the page for attendees (@nao)
  • Email all GTEs to invite them to get involved (@petya)
  • Prepare slide deck in English for translating WordPress (@petya – or anyone else who would like to do it)
  • Everyone: put your names down in the spreadsheet about your involvement
  • Petya to start working on the live streaming schedule (help needed and welcome, timezone experts this is your chance!)
  • Prepare logo/visual for the event for local teams to use.
