# Strings for WPiOS 5.9 Hey folks we’re shipping…

StringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists
of a multitude of localized strings. for WPiOS 5.9

Hey folks, we’re shipping WPiOS 5.9 to Apple in about two weeks and we could use
some help translating the [release notes](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/apps/ios/release-notes/)
and the [app strings](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/apps/ios/dev). Any
help is much appreciated!

 3. I translated the release notes in Dutch for the previous version. When the app
was released, the release notes were in English.
 4. Just to be sure: are they going to be used this time?

 8. How can I change the applications localeLocale Locale = language version, often
a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes
Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in
