You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Don’t see your language? You can request support for it.

Hello Polyglots!

There were some requests in the past to make the i18nInternationalization Internationalization (sometimes shortened to I18N , meaning “I - eighteen letters -N”) is the process of planning and implementing products and services so that they can easily be adapted to specific local languages and cultures, a process called localization. This is the process of making software translatable. For the unfamiliar, this is what it looks like:

The logo was designed by Automattician Jan Cavan, and we’d like to make it available to the community under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. This license allows you to use it and modify it however you please. 🙂

I was planning on offering it on a separate page in the Translators Handbook. Will that work for everyone? Cheers!

Wouldn’t a logo that restricts the use of just some languages in it’s design be seen as some kind of disrespect to others? I remember a talk of Yoav Fahri in Seville, during WordCampWordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they’ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. Learn more. I’m grateful to the authors but would definitely prefer a logo with no specific language.

I Agree with “Alvaro”. is almost impossible a logo with all languages, so be with no specific language 🙂

  Sorry for failing to mention the format in which this will be available in. The image I posted was a “preview” of the logo. 🙂 The logo will be downloadable in high-res PDF format, as well as PNG and SVG.

Thanks @druesome! Love to finally have it here, the license is <3. I kind of feel the badge we use is the official Polyglots symbol, but I love that logo regardless.

Just wanted to let everyone know that a non-language-specific version has been created, and is now available in the Logos and Graphics page in the Translator Handbook. 🙂 This is what it looks like:

Again, this is available under the same licence (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license) which allows you to use it freely. 🙂
