There were some stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. added to the current Development project, but due to a bug they were doubled and then tripled.

@nbachiyski fixed the issue and @markoheijnen is currently working on cleaning the excess strings.

In the meantime, please don’t translate the new strings so we don’t risk any lost translations.

And please don’t release 4.0.1 just yet; there has been a mixup with few strings in GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org. and we’re working out to fix it, it shouldn’t take long. We will let you know here when we have more information.

The issues have been fixed. It’s safe to translate and release now. Just, please, make sure to check if there are any untranslated or fuzzy strings before you hit the button.
