# WordPress 4.1 is on Beta stage would be…

WordPress 4.1 is on BetaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large
group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha
testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the
final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. stage
would be nice to have finally the 4.X branch and having the ne twentyfeifteen theme
too, even if there will be changes in stringsString A string is a translatable part
of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. we 
could start to translate and not having to rush in the last 2 days before release.

 3.  Agreed. If the project schedule is still valid, we have three weeks before release.
     It would be nice the have the stringString A string is a translatable part of 
     the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. available
     before the RCRelease Candidate A beta version of software with the potential to
     be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge. (
     a soft string-freeze of sort).

        before the release 🙂
         Currently [the Dev project in GlotPress](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp)
        features the 4.0 strings. Same for the [.pot files](https://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/pot/branches/).

      * So. String freezeString freeze The term "string freeze" is used by the core
        team to mark the end of changes to the strings of an upcoming release. A string
        freeze also means that there will be no more strings added to the core project.
        Sometimes a string freeze has two phases a [soft freeze](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#soft-freeze)
        and a [hard freeze](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/glossary/#hard-freeze).
        A string freeze is announced on the [Polyglots blog](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots)
        by the current release lead. should come with 4.1 RC1 and the 4.x project will
        be created after the release of 4.0.1.
