You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ account and suggesting translations (more details).

Want to help in managing and validating translations? Get in touch with the existing language team and follow the glossaries & style guides if the team has them.

Today I tried to upload some files to svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18nInternationalization Internationalization (sometimes shortened to I18N , meaning “I - eighteen letters -N”) is the process of planning and implementing products and services so that they can easily be adapted to specific local languages and cultures, a process called localization. This is the process of making software translatable. Information about Internationalization for developers can be found in the Developer’s handbooks., but unfortunatelly my wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/ username and pass wasn’t accepted.

Hey Dimitri, I don’t think you need to use SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. Software developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/. for that. Can you specify a bit more which version and why you need it? @nacin any ideas?

  So, as I see, there ara only 3 or newer version WP on https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp and all older versions are on SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. I would say don’t spent your time to translate WordPress for versions older then 3.0. Those probably will never be used.

Yes, for now that is the repoWordPress Localization Repository The WordPress Localization Repository at https://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/ is a Subversion repository where official WordPress translations are maintained. See Working with the Translation Repository for details. and you should use it. At one point someone will put some magic to branch the dev environment to 4.0.

    Fully agree with Marko. Don’t spend time translating anything older than the latest version (or trunk). In this case, translate only 4.0 and, when it’s time, 4.1.
