Software developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/. branch/tag folders are still missing from builder, I’ll probably need to use trunk. 🙁

  It needed 50 minutes to appear. Luckily for me, for mayor versions trunk is same as branch/tag, but for minor versions this is unacceptably long time.
  
  Just look at download stats for mayor European versions where it’s 1 AM to see how many people might get unlocalized versions in the meantime.
  
  I hope this is the last WordPress version without full language packs support.

    It shouldn’t take that long (in my case it’s usually around 5 minutes), but maybe @nacin can shed a light. I suspect that doing this in the middle of an intense build/release cycle may have prolonged the wait.

  I use the trunk and type the revision number, It seems OK after I test it.
  tags/3.6 doesn’t show until now for Arabic too 🙁

For some reason it took much longer than usual for branch/tag folders to appear in RosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages., so I had to use trunk.

I tried to make a release for 3.6 from trunk. All ok but some strngs on installations and on theme are still in english and were the ones i translated today for last . except for untralstaed stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings. the installation test was ok and test site is ok and working. Looks like it’s getting some stange translation files and didn’t sync the svn in package generation on it.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/
