# Good night Zé Currently I have access to…

Good night, Zé.

Currently I have access to the gl_ES branch of BuddyPress in GlotPressGlotPress
GlotPress is the translation management software that powers [Translate.WordPress.org](http://translate.wordpress.org).
More information is available at [glotpress.org](http://glotpress.org/).. There
I can upload .po filesPO files **PO files** are human readable **files** which contain
translations we use. These files are **not** used by WordPress itself. Each language
will have its own **PO file**, for example, for French there would be a fr_FR.**
po file**, for german there would be a de_DE.**po**, for British English there might
be en_GB.**po**. in order to update the translation of multiple lines together.

I need access to the gl_ES branch of the other projects in the same way.

One question:
Why DEV version of WordPress (future 3.2) do not show the lines translated
previously? Many lines that were translated in 3.1 go away in the development of
3.2.

Thanks.

              - Okay, forget the question.
              - I think the problem has its roots in the development version, which
was created from an incomplete translation. I uploaded an updated .
po file to the svn trunk branch, including all translated entries until
                now:

More information is available at [glotpress.org](http://glotpress.org/).
let me import translations from a .po file in all branches, except
in WordPress DEV 3.2. I do not know what happens. Zé, can you take
a look to see what is happening?

                 * Don’t know what could be wrong. Just imported the above .po without
any problems (746 translations added). What are the symptoms when
                   you try to import?

                    - No import option on the DEV branch for me. There is no button
to select the file to upload.
                    - If I try to force the upload introducing /import-translations
after the branch address in my browser it says: “You are not
                      allowed to do that!”.
                    - And now, what happened? Excess of lines?
                       There are 3287 translated
lines and 5 more waiting for validation on GlotPressGlotPress

                      information is available at [glotpress.org](http://glotpress.org/)..
In the .po file I had uploaded there are 3173 lines, matching
the lines of the .pot filePOT file POT files are the template
files for PO files. They will have all the translation strings
left empty. A POT file is essentially an empty PO file without
the translations, with just the original strings. of the trunk
                      branch.
