I wish to participate with the WordPress translators community.

I have prepared, awaiting proofreading, a translation of the BuddyPress pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party and I am also willing to do more translations and reviews, in Galician (gl_ES), Portuguese of Portugal (pt_PT) Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR) and Spanish of Spain (es_ES).

Please, give me SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. Software developers use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). I am translating the theme-specific .pot filePOT file POT files are the template files for PO files. They will have all the translation strings left empty. A POT file is essentially an empty PO file without the translations, with just the original strings. to galician localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/.

I also want to create a new galician site:

Locale: gl_ES.

Site Description: “WordPress en galego.”

Hi, thanks for the help.
All those languages already have communities, localeLocale Locale = language version, often a combination of a language code and a region code, for instance es_MX denotes Spanish as it’s used in Mexico. A list of all locales supported by WordPress in https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/teams/ sites and committers (including BuddyPress). Could you get in touch with each one first?

For Galego/Galician (http://gl.wordpress.org) could you give access to pcgaldo for writting in this blog? I was talking with pcgaldo about this and he wants colaborate in galician translation.

And please, could you add buddypress to galician glotpressGlotPress GlotPress is the translation management software that powers Translate.WordPress.org. More information is available at glotpress.org. (translate.wp.com)? I have already submited files to svn (under /tags/buddypress)

Two problems:

The site templates on “gl.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization. https://wordpress.org/” are in English. The location of rossetta files were uploaded this morning. Do we wait for an update of the language on the templates or you must configure it manually?

I tried to upload files to SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. WordPress core and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN. https://subversion.apache.org/., identifying with the username and password of the WordPress forums and I did not managed to do commits. Am I allowed? Am I doing something wrong?

  The same problem with “gl.buddypress.org”. All admin contents are in English.
  Do I need to translate and upload some file in order to give this site translated?
  
  I just checked both pages, adding contents, in order to obtain a look like the localizationLocalization Localization (sometimes shortened to "l10n") is the process of adapting a product or service to a particular language, culture, and desired local "look-and-feel." sites in other languages.

  Let me try to sum this up:
  - For the http://gl.wordpress.org site’s stringsString A string is a translatable part of the software. A translation consists of a multitude of localized strings., you need to request a rosetta deploy.
  - Both you and dorfun now have commit permissions to http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/gl_ES
  - http://gl.buddypress.org isn’t rosettaRosetta The code name of the theme for the local WordPress sites (eg. bg.wordpress.org is a “Rosetta” site). All locale specific WordPress sites are referred to as “Rosetta sites.” The name was inspired from the ancient Rosetta Stone, which contained more or less the same text in three different languages.-ready yet. The admin is always in english
  - Both you and dorfun now have commit permissions to https://i18n.svn.buddypress.org/gl_ES (ignore the previous link to the bbpress repo, I made a typo)
