# A few my friends and me would like to tr…

A few my friends and me would like to translate WP into Megrelian.
 We already have
questions: 🙂 How can we start? How can you help us?

 6. I can’t find any references to “Megrelian”, did you mean [Mingrelian](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mingrelian_language)?
 7. Update: they’re the same, ok.

 10. Thanks Sergey.
Yes Zé – Mingrelian is correct form. 🙂

      * I suggest we begin with Mingrelian support on GlotPressGlotPress GlotPress
is the translation management software that powers [Translate.WordPress.org](http://translate.wordpress.org).
More information is available at [glotpress.org](http://glotpress.org/). (ISO
is ‘xmf’). If, after reading the Resources document above, you feel confortable
with SVNSVN Apache Subversion (often abbreviated SVN, after its command name
svn) is a software versioning and revision control system. Software developers
use Subversion to maintain current and historical versions of files such as
source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly compatible
successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). WordPress core
and the wordpress.org released code are all centrally managed through SVN.
https://subversion.apache.org/., we can move to commit access to a xmf repositoryWordPress
Localization Repository The **WordPress Localization Repository** at [https://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/](https://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/)
        is a [Subversion repository](https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Subversion)
where official WordPress translations are maintained. See [Working with the Translation Repository](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/working-with-the-translation-repository/)
for details. and after that to a xmf.wordpress.orgWordPress.org The community
site where WordPress code is created and shared by the users. This is where
you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as
well as the central location for community conversations and organization.
        [https://wordpress.org/](https://wordpress.org/) site. Makes sense?
