For the webp conversions, two things are needed… A way to tell the system to delete the jpegs after it creates the webp image. my site was up to 3.7 GB because of all the extra images. It’s bad enough WordPress creates 5 different sizes for every damn picture I upload but I wasn’t thinking about it when I activated webp… I like it but I just do not require the jpegs afterward. Also, there are some images that are still jpegs and I need to tell the lab app to recheck the jpegs and convert the ones it missed… I’ve just been going through in the host cpanel and deleting all the jpegs and I just thought to check some articles and a bunch of images was only up there as jpegs… so I have to go reupload those images for the published articles its a good pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress.
