What to Test

To prepare:

  • Go to Account > App Settings > Privacy Settings and turn on the Collect information option.
  • Go to Account > Help & Support and turn on the Extra Debug option.

    • Cut: Copy/Paste: Create a new post, add a block, and customize it e.g. add text/image. Tap on the three dots button (bottom right of the block). Tap on Cut. Confirm the block disappears. Add a Group block. Tap on the + button to bring up the inserter. Confirm Copied block is the first item in the menu. Tap on Copied block. Confirm your copied block is pasted into the Group block.
    • Duplicate: Copy/Paste: Create a new post, add a block, and customize it e.g. add text/image. Tap on the three dots button (bottom right of the block). Tap on Duplicate. Confirm your block is duplicated.
  • Ghost Effect (#14310): Open a post or page with the block editor. Confirm that while the editor is loading, you see Ghost Views (shaded areas) over the title, body, and toolbar. Check light and dark mode, portrait and landscape.

WordPress for Android version 15.3-rc-1 is available for testing on the BetaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. channel. What to Test

To prepare:

    • Post with local changes: Open a published post in the app, make changes that are saved, and close the post without “updating” the published post. Observe that the post list entry for the post states that it has “Local changes.” Tap More -> TrashTrash Trash in WordPress is like the Recycle Bin on your PC or Trash in your Macintosh computer. Users with the proper permission level (administrators and editors) have the ability to delete a post, page, and/or comments. When you delete the item, it is moved to the trash folder where it will remain for 30 days. for that post. Confirm that a confirmation dialog appears that includes the word “also” (“Trashing this post will also discard local changes …”). Tap Ok. Confirm the post is trashed.
    • Post with unsaved changes: Open a published post on the web, make changes to it, preview the post (to insure it autosaves), and close the post without “updating” the published post. Find the post in the app. Observe that the post list entry for the post states “You’ve made unsaved changes to this post.” Tap More -> Trash for that post. Observe that a confirmation dialog appears stating that “Trashing this post will also discard unsaved changes, are you sure you want to continue?” Tap “Cancel.” Confirm that the post is not trashed. Tap More -> Trash for that post. Tap “Ok” this time when the confirmation dialog appears. Confirm the post is trashed.
    • “Normal” post: Find a post that does not have either unsaved or local changes. Tap More -> Trash for that post. Confirm that there is not a confirmation dialog and the post is immediately trashed.
