# Call for Testing: WordPress for Android 15.6

WordPress for Android version 15.6-rc-1 is available for testing on the BetaBeta
A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under
real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are
generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however,
design changes often occur as part of the process. channel. You can ask to join
the Beta Program at [Android App Testing](https://href.li/?https://play.google.com/apps/testing/org.wordpress.android)
on Google Play. Once you have been accepted, click the “Become a Tester” button

## Release Notes

 * BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that,
composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress
editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with
shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and
user experience. Editor: Add settings to allow changing column widths
 * Block Editor: Media editing support in Gallery block.
 * Block Editor: Improved logic for creating undo levels.

## What to Test

To prepare:

 * Go to Account > App Settings > Privacy settings and turn on the “Collect information”
   and “Crash reports” options.
 * Go to My Site > Settings > Use Block Editor to enable the block editor for new
   posts.
 * Switch to Dark Theme when testing Android 9.0+ devices for this release. On the
device, go to Settings > Display > Advanced > Device theme and choose “Dark”.
 * If you are comfortable testing in a language other than English, please test
   in that language.

To test:

 1. [14449](https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-iOS/pull/14449) Create a
new post or page, add a columns block, tap the gear icon, select a layout, publish
the post, and view it on the web and Reader to make sure the column widths appear
    as expected.
 2. [2496](https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/gutenberg-mobile/pull/2496) Create a
new post or page, add a gallery block, tap the media edit icon at the top right
of each image to edit it, publish the post, view the post on the web and Reader
to verify the correct versions of the images are showing.
 3. [24116](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/24116) Open an existing post
with several blocks, remove some blocks, verify tapping undo brings them back.
Add some text and text formatting (bold, italic, links, etc), tap undo until the
text disappears, tap redo to bring back the text.
