Release Notes
- Streamlined navigation: now there are fewer and better organized tabs, posting shortcuts and more, so you can find what you need fast.
- My Site: the “Add Posts and Pages” features has been moved. There is a new “Floating Action Button” in “My Site” that lets you create a new post or page without having to navigate to another screen.
- My Site: the “Me” section has been moved. There is a new button on the top right of “My Site” that lets you access the “Me” section from there.
- Reader: revamped UIUI UI is an acronym for User Interface - the layout of the page the user interacts with. Think ‘how are they doing that’ and less about what they are doing. with a tab bar that lets you quickly switch between sections, and filtering and settings panes to easily access and manage your favorite content.
- You can now draw on images to annotate them using the Edit image feature in the post editor.

It is a markup language that is used in the development of web pages and websites. formatting on the BlockBlock Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. - Block editor: Support for the pullquote block.

What to Test
To prepare:
- Go to Account > App Settings > Privacy Settings and turn on the Collect information option.
- Go to Account > Help & Support and turn on the Extra Debug option.
- Go to My Site > Settings > Use Block Editor to enable the block editor for new posts.
- If you are comfortable testing in a language other than English, please test in that language.
To test:
- 13320 Go to My Site and verify you can create and publish a new post and a new page using the new Floating Action Button (“+” at bottom right). Test from all three types of sites: WordPress.comWordPress.com An online implementation of WordPress code that lets you immediately access a new WordPress environment to publish your content. WordPress.com is a private company owned by Automattic that hosts the largest multisite in the world. This is arguably the best place to start blogging if you have never touched WordPress before. https://wordpress.com/, Jetpack, Self-hosted. Test in light and dark mode and verify the colors look correct.
- 14029 With a fresh install of the app, verify you can see a tool tip that says “Create a post or page” for the for the Floating Action Button (“+” at bottom right).
- 14090 Verify the “Create a post or page” tooltip for the Floating Action Button is hidden after five times navigating away and back from the My Site screen.
- 13319 Smoke test the “Me” (account profile) section which is now available at the top right of the “My Site” screen when the site picker is not active.
- 13582 Go to Reader > Manage (gear icon near top right) and verify you can add and remove tags and follow and unfollow sites. Verify the no results views look correct and work as expected. Test from a wordpress.com login, from a self-hosted only login, and while logged out.
- 13580 Go to the Reader and verify the tabs at the top display the expected content. The default tabs are called: Following, Discover, Likes, and Saved. You should see teams and list after that (note: lists are now deprecated but will still display if you had setup any in the past).
- 13581 Go to Reader > Following for an account where you have followed several tags and sites, try out different filtered views and verify you can see the correct filtered view.
- 14093 Create a new post, add an image block, add an image, tap the edit icon at the top right of the image, and test the drawing feature using the icon that looks like a pen at the top. Verify that the drawing tool works, undo/redo work in the same session, the changes are saved on exit, and that the changes made appear both in the draft and in the published post.
- 2226 Create a new post, add some text, go to More (three dots at top right) > Switch to HTML Mode, add some text, add tags for superscript and subscript around some of the text, go to More > Switch to Visual Mode and verify you can interact with the text and that it looks correct once published in View Site, the web, and the Reader.
- 21930 Create a new post, add a pullquote block, and try to break it.
- 2096 Create a post or open an existing post that contains buttons with colors, make changes to the button text and background colors using the app, publish or update the post, verify the colors appear correctly in the editor, previews, View Site, Reader, and the web.
- 2179 Create a new page, apply the “About” Page template, scroll through to ensure the content is using the blocks described here. Repeat the test for the “Blog” and “Services” page templates.
- 2205 Create a new post, add a video block, and verify each upload option works correctly. Publish the post and verify the content looks correct in the editor, previews, View Site, the web, Reader, and reblogs.
- 21502 Switch the device to an RTL language, verify the icons and buttons in Gallery, Paragraph, List, and Media Text blocks match with the screenshots showing in 21502.

- Please be aware that a bot will ask for labels but you won’t have rights to add them. Know that labels will be added by someone on the triage team. 👍
- If you would like to send Activity Logs to help with debugging (this can be very useful!), you should first trigger the bug and then go to Profile > Help & Support > Activity Logs > Current and use the share icon at top right to copy the logs. Next, go to Help & Support > Contact Us, add a short note mentioning the bug report link, and paste the logs below the note. Please be aware Activity Logs may contain tokens which should not be shared publicly, and that’s why logs should be sent through the Contact Us form.
