2.7 is nearing completion and we’ll probably have a 2.7.1 next week to follow up the release. 2.8 is in the planning stage but we have no major features pinned for that release. @mrroundhill will be passing the baton for Android updates to either @mbiais or @sendhil starting next week.

WordPress for iOS

4.0.1 was submitted to the App Store for review today. It should be in the store by Friday. 4.1 is next on the radar and the code freeze date is 19-APR-2014. Expect a week of testing before submitting to the App Store.

It would be nice if the Windows Phone version of WordPress received some of the love that the Android and iOSiOS The operating system used on iPhones and iPads. versions have lavished upon them. I’ve left the world of Android to go back to an all Microsoft Ecosystem (Lumia 1520 phone, Surface 2 tablet and Vaio Pro 13 ultrabook) and the only thing I miss as far as working goes is the excellent WordPress app. A version for smaller tablets or larger phones would make my day-to-day occupation of blogging (yes, I do earn a decent crust from blogging) quite a lot simpler. Please consider updating and improving the Windows Phone version of the WordPress client.

  Thanks for the feedback! Right now development on Windows Phone & Blackberry is on hiatus so that we can focus on the platforms that have the most contribution to them. The idea being we focus on what we can make great then realign the other apps to follow suit.

    Hi is there any news on an update and completion of the Blackberry 10 betaBeta A pre-release of software that is given out to a large group of users to trial under real conditions. Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process.? I have just installed but having issues, is there any support for the beta??

      BlackBerry development is still on hiatus – we’re focusing on iOSiOS The operating system used on iPhones and iPads. and Android. BB10 code is available at https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-BlackBerry if anyone wants to work on it, but we aren’t submitting it to the App Store in the near future.

        Thanks for the update! I am aware of the pause taken for this app which is unfortunate because of many us on bb10 would love to have this app. If I knew how to program I would jump on and help.

Could I get some sort of support so I can even try out this beta version???

      I can’t reply to your latest reply – I think only a limited levels of replies are allowed.
      
      Try disabling your plugins and see if login works – then re-enable one at a time to see which one breaks it. It could be the theme since a theme is essentially a pluginPlugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. 🙂

Beta versions have gone through alpha testing in-house and are generally fairly close in look, feel and function to the final product; however, design changes often occur as part of the process. but you could try filing issues on GitHubGitHub GitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner. https://github.com/. If you can get access to the log files on the device and help dig into the error the original contributors might be able to help. Unfortunately if there is a problem with the code it’s not actively being maintained. There are forums for BB support that contributors may be monitoring – https://blackberry.forums.wordpress.org/ and there is always the Freenode IRC chat room #WordPress-mobile – you might be able to get help from one of us in there if they’ve worked on that beta.
