I wanted to take a moment and recognize contributions to the mobile apps during the month of October from people outside the “usual suspects”.

New Apps

We’ve talked about it before but I wanted to also recognize that the source code for the BlackBerry app written by Daniele Maio and the Firefox OS app written by Sayak Sarkar the Google Summer of Code are now hosted.

On the blog

Happy to see versluis, loginsix, and heredia21 getting involved in the conversation on the blog, and versluis dove in and contributed to the Mobile Handbook. (Nice!) Looking forward to hearing more for you guys.

On the web

Last but not least, a very nice article about UXUX UX is an acronym for User Experience - the way the user uses the UI. Think ‘what they are doing’ and less about how they do it. written by a user of the iOS app caught our attention.

Cheers!
