They're one of the places where the WordPress community comes together to teach one another what they\u2019ve learned throughout the year and share the joy. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.wordcamp.org\/about\/\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> organizers have with building their sites.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s one discussion in particular that I\u2019d love to get feedback from <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Meta<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Meta<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Meta is a term that refers to the inside workings of a group. For us, this is the team that works on internal WordPress sites like WordCamp Central and Make WordPress.<\/span><\/span><\/span> team members on, which is\u00a0determining the best way that we can <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/2015\/06\/16\/editing-wordcamp-css-locally-with-git\/\">support a traditional\u00a0development workflow<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Right now organizers have to edit the <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>CSS<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>CSS<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>CSS is an acronym for cascading style sheets. This is what controls the design or look and feel of a site.<\/span><\/span><\/span> for their site in Jetpack\u2019s CSS editor, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/community\/2015\/03\/05\/improving-wordcamp-org-user-experience-of-the-css-editor\/\">painful<\/a>\u00a0because\u00a0it wasn\u2019t intended for the kinds of use cases that we have.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, we want to allow organizers to build their sites in a local\u00a0sandbox, managing the code with <span tabindex='0' class='glossary-item-container'>Git<span class='glossary-item-hidden-content'><span class='glossary-item-header'>Git<\/span> <span class='glossary-item-description'>Git is a free and open source distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency. Git is easy to learn and has a tiny footprint with lightning fast performance.
